PLAYED! (yet again...)

"Woe to him who quarrels with His Maker, to him who is but a a potsherd among potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the Potter, 'What are you making?' Does your work say, 'He has no hands'? Woe to him who says to his father, 'What have you begotten?' or to his mother, 'What have you brought to birth?'. This is what the Lord says--the Holy One of Israel, and its maker: Concerning the things to come, do you question me about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands? It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts." --Isaiah 45:9-12

Ok...so this scripture (to me) speaks to one specific area in my life. I was roaming on myspace and came across this dude's page (he's my bf's cousin) but what was so amazing to me is that, I believe, he's only 17 and he's so on fire for God. He had verse 9 on his page and that struck a chord within me. First area: Self-esteem. Really...who am I to really question God about what He made and how He did so? He's the master creator and everything He did/ does is good...superior work...of the best quality. Therefore, what does that say about me? This is not a point to get cocky on but God wants each of us to realize how important we are. How when He made us, it was, indeed, good. This point has nothing to do with us but has all to do with WHO HE IS. Isn't that awesome? If He could create a whole universe, do you think He'd wait to get to you to mess up? Of course not! It's simply not in His character to make mistakes or else, He wouldn't be God. So for those of you, like myself, who struggle with this self-esteem thing, you have to learn how to see yourself the way that God sees you--precious. We're His workmanship, We're fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 119), and we're created in Christ Jesus to do good works (Ephesians 2:10). I understand it's a process. Take it one day at a time. Ask God to show you your worth, not for the sake of knowing it, but in order to truly understand how great He is for making someone as unique and different as you. You'd be amazed what He'll show you once you open your eyes to see what He defines as beauty, not what the world thinks. Walk in the beauty God has given you!

Thanks God! Played (corrected, yet again...)! But being corrected (played) when it comes to these things is one of the best feelings in the world.
